ECONOMIC BENEFIT

Since opening Seneca Niagara Casino in 2002, Seneca Gaming Corporation has become one of Western New York’s largest, fastest-growing and most successful companies.
In that short time, we have created more than 4,200 jobs in the local economy, put thousands of construction workers on the job and have completed more than $750 million in new development.
Now, we want to bring our success to the City of Buffalo with Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino, a project that represents $333 million in initial private investment and presents significant economic opportunities to the City.
- Since 2002, Seneca Gaming Corporation has created approximately 4,200 new jobs in the Western New York economy.
- We have also invested more than $750 million to build our facilities in Niagara Falls and Salamanca.
- Seneca Gaming Corporation has been a proud partner with local businesses, spending more than $90 million with local vendors and suppliers in 2006 alone.
- We want to be a part of the overall economic development puzzle in the Inner Harbor area.
- Every year, Western New Yorkers spend an estimated $50 million - $70 million per year at the slot venue in Fort Erie, Ontario.
- Our plans for Seneca Buffalo Creek casino will create approximately 1,000 new jobs in Buffalo.
- Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino will also give the City a vehicle to curb the flow of entertainment dollars out of the area and keep them here to support local jobs.
- Local companies will also realize tremendous business opportunities as a result of the casino project.
- Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino will deliver $5 million to $7 million per year in local revenue share, compared to $31,000 which had been paid in local taxes on the 9-acre site.
- Over the next 15 years, the City of Buffalo may realize approximately $100 million in new revenue from the local revenue share.
- We will market Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino
jointly with Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel
and Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel
to maximize our ability to bring
in people from outside of the
local area.
- We want to build and succeed here to maximize the positive economic impact we have on the region.
