OVERVIEW
Seneca Gaming Corporation was established in 2002 to develop and operate the Seneca Nation of Indians' Class III gaming and entertainment facilities in Western New York.
At the time, it was a dream that the Nation could develop and operate competitive world-class casino resorts in the economically-challenged region of Western New York.
The dream became reality on December 31, 2002, when, after 100 days and $100 million in capital investment, Seneca Niagara Casino opened its doors to the world. The project converted an aging, under-utilized and under-maintained convention center into a full-service gaming and entertainment facility, drawing shoulder-to-shoulder crowds and rave reviews.
Today, Seneca Gaming Corporation is a $2 billion corporation with more than 4,200 employees earning over $99 million in annual payroll. The company operates three gaming and entertainment facilities with over 6,500 slot machines, 140 table games, 800 luxury hotel rooms, 10 restaurants and additional amenities.
Seneca Gaming Corporation stands ready to help other tribal and corporate partners, whether currently operating or just entering the gaming and entertainment industry, replicate their success.
