Brandon Joins Seneca Gaming Corp.

Niagara Falls, NY, August 2004 - Barry W. Brandon has joined Seneca Gaming Corporation (SGC) as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. He will oversee all legal issues and manage governmental affairs for the parent corporation and it subsidiaries: Seneca Niagara Falls Gaming Corp., Seneca Erie Gaming Corp. and Seneca Allegany Territory Gaming Corp.

Brandon was most recently a partner with the prestigious firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer and Feld LLP in Washington, D.C., where he advised clients regarding American Indian law and policy, with particular emphasis on economic development and Indian gaming. Before joining Akin Gump, Brandon served first as general counsel and then as Chief of Staff at the National Indian Gaming Commission in Washington, D.C., where he assisted the Chairman and Association Commissioners in formulating and implementing U.S. policy and regulation for more than 300 Indian gaming operations. Brandon also has served as Deputy Director of the U.S. Secretary of the Interior's Indian Water Rights Office and was a senior trial attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice.

"We are truly pleased to have Barry as a member of our team," said Rickey L. Armstrong, Sr., President, Seneca Nation of Indians. "His experience and insights will be a great asset to us as we move forward with our future gaming plans."

"Barry has a unique background that will help us with the vast intricacies of Indian law, especially as it relates to running as a tribally chartered gaming corporation," added Cyrus Schindler, Chairman, Seneca Gaming Corporation.

G. Michael Brown, President and CEO, Seneca Gaming Corporation, sees Brandon's expertise as a solid asset in plans for an additional Seneca casino and the planned hotel development in Niagara Falls and Salamanca, as well as managing relationships with federal, state and local governments.

"Barry has an extensive background in litigation, regulation and casino development. I will have the benefit of his counsel and advice as we move Seneca Gaming Corp. to new levels of success," stated Brown.

Brandon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Washington University and earned his law degree from the University of Washington School of Law. He is an enrolled member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation and the grandson of the late Gailey Watt, a Seneca from Salamanca, NY. Brandon is also an adopted member of the Seneca Nation of Indians.

Brandon was a founding member of the Native American Bar Association of Washington, D.C., a former member of the National Native American Bar Association and a past President and founding member of the Northwest Indian Bar Association. He was appointed by the Secretary of the Interior to serve as Chair of the Indian Arts and Crafts Board. He also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Washington Internships for Native Students.

SGC is wholly owned by the Seneca Nation of Indians and chartered to manage the Nation's gaming operations.
